SALIENT FEATURES:-

LOAD FRAME:

The load frame is a rigid, stable structure with a high stiffness value into which a load cell mounts between a force producing crosshead and a stationery base plate member.  The high stiffness ensures that the test forces generated by the moving crosshead are transmitted to test specimen held in place between the load cell and the base plate.  The load cell senses and converts these forces into an electrical signal for measurement and control purpose. 

CONTROL SYSTEM:

Control of the load frame comes from a microprocessor based control console.  The load and the movement of the crosshead is displayed on the console and the traverse of the crosshead may be from the push buttons mounted on the control panel.

 TRAVEL LIMITS:

The travel limits prevents the crosshead from traveling beyond a location you determine.  Two stops, a rod and switches comprise  the travel limits.  They act as a fail-safe device in the event of a component failure.   Improper test settings, sudden specimen failure or any other condition which my cause unexpected crosshead travel. 

CROSSHEAD AND LOAD CELL:

The cross head is a steel rectangular block with a vertical center bore. The load cell is a steel cylinder which encloses a series of strain gauge elements.  The upper grip is screwed onto the lower part of the load cell and in line with the lower grip.  Force acts in line with head screw, thereby giving accurate results. 

CALIBRATION:

The machine comes with a calibration certificate traceable to National Standards as per IS:4169 -1988.  The machine is calibrated using a force – proving instrument. It comes with our ever-reliable service backup and comprehensive after sales service, not to mention the total technical backing.
