Auto
guides for Wire & Felt are used for guiding the wire & felt accurately
so that the damage and consequent loss in production is completely avoided.
Installing the reliable and well proven pneumatic automatic guiding
system is an easy way to solve the wire & felt guide problem.

The guide should be mounted on a roll which
ideally is positioned between two stationery rolls.
The angle of wrap should be 1300 to 1450 for wires
and 1300 to 1450 for
felt to best guiding effect. The
distance between the two stationary rolls should preferably be equal to the
width of the wed. The palm must
hang vertically to provide sensitive motion.
Position of the wed is adjusted by moving the controller horizontally.
The actuator can be mounted in any desired position –horizontally,
vertically or angle in between.
The
actuator should operate in the middle position to insure the possible field of
action. The adjustment can be made
by operating the hand guide as shown in the assembly drawing.
The actuator is connected to controller through removable hoses.
The control valve & palm assembly are mounted in such a way that the
palm is always in contact with wire or felt.
So, that it continuously sense the cross movement the wire or felt.
The controller works with a proportional modulated action and gives an
extremely accurate control. During
the operation the controller casing is pressurized to avoid penetration of dust
and moisture to the inside. The
controller palm is delicately balanced and follows the edges of wire or felt
with a very gentle pressure.
The
controller is made of brass and pilot valve, palm holders and roller palm of
stainless steel. Guide brackets,
bearing housing and double action cylinder are made of closed grain cast iron.

COMPACT ENCLOSED DESIGN
ORIGINAL USA TECHNOLOGY
SYSTEM ALLOWS A LARGER WRAP ANGLE AND GIVES MORE DESIGN FREEDOM
MINIMUM REACTION TIME RESULTS IN ACCURATE TRACKING
EASY TO ISNTALL IN ANY POSITION
STATE OF THE ART TECHNOLOGY
The fundamental idea of the GTC pneumatic tracking
device is to guide the paper machine wire or felt in a straight path.
The paddle will feel the slightest linear movement and will correct to a
sable position by moving the guide roll in the appropriate direction.
Under severe conditions in Paper and Pulp & Board Machines are GTC
tracking device will function perfectly.
Any
movement of the wire or felt from a straight path will move the paddle in a
specific direction. The paddle will
in turn operate the control valve which re-directs the incoming air to the
appropriate side of the guide
connected to the guide roll. Movement
of the guide roll will bring the wire or felt back into a straight path.
