ELECTRONIC TENSILE TESTER

FEATURES :
This
bench mounting electronic tensile tester was ergonomically designed to provide a
compact, low –cost, functional unit which is quick and easy to operate.
It gives extremely high accuracy and yet is robust enough for routine
quality control testing. The twin –column desinging permits all –round access to
the specimen and grips. The load
measurement system utilizes a four figure peak-picking digital voltmeter which
displays maximum load until reset. The
use of digital readout for load and extension eliminates the high risk of error
involved when interpolating from graphs, kills and scales.
LOAD SYSTEM :
The
load measurement system is based on reliable high accuracy components and the
four figure readout with highest limits of accuracy.
The
load cell is protected from
overload by a builts in sensor, preset to switch off the drive at 120% of full
range load. A warning light is
incorporated to indicate such an occurrence.
DRIVE SYSTEM :
The
motive power is provided by ADC shunt –wound motor for constant forque
characteristics which is close – coupled to a lubrication sealed for life gear
unit. The twin leadscrews are
interconnected by a tensional ruler
chain driven through a flexible coupling for smooth operation.
The
control system uses an nature feedback speed control which gives a speed reset
accuracy of better than 1%. The
unit has built in dynamic braking to ensure, fast, accurate stopping and
extension measurement. Circuit
Protection by current limiters and
voltage spike protectors is built – in.
CONTROLS :
Straining
speed is infinitely variable by means of a calibrated speed control know
from 0 to 500 mm/min. Return to original setting is at full speed.
CROSS HEAD LIMIT TRIPS :
An
adjustable upper limit setting map enables users to pre-set specimen length and
a lower fixed trip prevents any crushed over-travel.
Electronics
Tensile Tester has a total jaw separation of 400 mm. The actual specimen length is infinitely variable from 20 to
350 mm by means of a setting block, where on the crosshead will automatically
stop at the predetermined position. GRIP
: 25 MM WIDTH.
OPTIONAL FEATURES :
The
instrument can be supplied with the digital extension readout replaced by a rule
at a reduced cost. The unit can be
supplied with a chart recorder.
The
transducer employs an internal diaphragm force running member with bonded four
arm bridge temp. compensated from – 200 C to + 900 C to
better than 0.005%0 C and
the diaphragm is vented to ovulate changes due to barometric pressure or
altitude variation.
Precision
: + 0.1% repeatability :0.07%
The
load readout is a four digit LED display which holds the maximum load during any
test with an accuracy of + 0.02% F.S.D.
A
Penal button is provided for reset.
The unit calibration can be checked instantly at any time by depressing
the front panel calibration and zero button provided on the instrument.
The
system utilizes six digit LED display counter which has a single MOS /LSI
integrated circuit with no involving parts, giving the unit a virtual unlimited
life.
The
sensing system is monitored by giving
direct reading at extension to 0.1 mm and / or percentage of any one specimen
length.
The
counting system works only through the strain side of the circuitry with the
display held to enable an operator to take readings while the cross head is fast
traversed back to the start of test position.
Reset by means of a button on the counter which also serves as a
lamp-test check button.
The
specimen break detection is achieved by monitoring the rate of full – off of
load and automatically stops the crosshead as rupture takes place, this ensures
accuracy of extension measurement return to original setting is at full speed.
